VK-X SHIPPING SCHEDULE

Updated 14.05.2019

Hello everyone,

Lucas here, I hope you are doing well. Please find in this article:

  • Our shipping schedule
  • Information about how shipping works

We are indeed fully concentrated on assembling, soldering, flashing the software, performing quality control checks and shipping the VK-X to our 720 first backers. Unfortunately, this process is taking more time than expected since each pair of headphones, as we realized, takes at least 2 hours to be entirely completed and then shipped. We are now 9 people working almost full time on headphone production (Baptiste and I also need to do other tasks related to running the company).

Shipping schedule (updated on 14.05.2019):

  • Batch 2: from 23rd of February until 1st of March ~ 90 units
  • Batch 3: from 2nd of March until 12th of March ~ 90 units ✅
  • Batch 4: from 13rd of March until 1st of April ~ 100 units
  • Batch 5: from 2nd of April until 14th of April ~ 110 units
  • Batch 6: from 15th of April until 30th of April ~ 110 units
  • Batch 7: from 1st of May until 14th of May~ 130 units ✅

Please note that you can check which batch is being shipped on the blog’s header to see if we are ahead or behind schedule.

As a reminder, please find below additional information about shipping:

  • A couple of days before your batch shipment begins, I will ask you to confirm your shipping address
  • All shipments will feature a tracking number and will be delivered with signature only
  • You will receive an email notification once your VK-X has been shipped

I am sorry for those delays and I understand the impatience of you all. We are doing our best, and the first feedbacks are great so far: we look forward to delivering your VK-X 🙂

I am at your disposition if you have any other questions and will be happy to help: please just comment!

I wish you a great weekend,

Lucas

EOLE Beta

Announcing our High-Definition Bluetooth module

Hello everyone,

Lucas here, and I hope you are doing well 🙂

Today, I am proud to announce for the first time EOLE, our High-Definition Bluetooth module!

What is EOLE?

EOLE is a 3.5 cm diameter elegant aluminum medallion that will allow all our ODS earphones to be used wireless. Baptiste was originally inspired by pocket watches when conceiving EOLE and wanted something discrete and simple. Following our previous products names that come from various mythologies, we decided to name it of the name of the famous Wind God to symbolize its wireless technology.

EOLE was developed mechanically and electronically at the end of 2017, but we put its development on hold to concentrate all our efforts on the VK-X. Today, I am happy to announce that we just finished the assembly of the first 80 Eole Beta units at our workshop.

What are EOLE’s main features?

Fully Compatible with our ODS range of in-ear headphones

Thanks to our MMCX connectors standard, EOLE will be fully compatible with all our ODS in-ear headphones (ODS-1, ODS-D, ODS-1 Essential, ODS-D Essential), but also with all MMCX earbuds of the market. A list of compatible earphones will be published later on.

A Travel Companion

With a 10 hours autonomy (8 days in sleep mode!), EOLE will connect by Bluetooth with both iOS and Android devices to accompany you throughout your day whether you want to listen to your music or to take calls directly thanks to its built-in microphone.

High-Definition Sound

EOLE will be a High-Resolution Bluetooth module that features the following major audiophile Bluetooth codecs: Aptx HD, Aptx, AAC. You might be surprised by its sound quality: our 24 bit DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) is likely to be superior to your device’s DAC when used wired, thus offering you an impressive listening experience.

When will it be launched?

EOLE will be officially launched in 2019, but we decided with Baptiste that we would offer for the first time a discounted and limited Beta edition to our users, thus allowing us to collect feedback on the product before its public launch. We produced 80 EOLE Beta modules for that purpose, that will be available on our website for private orders on Thursday, December 6th. Those modules will be made available alone (in case you already own one of our ODS earphones), and in bundles with our ODS-1 and ODS-D earphones.

The 80 private beta orders will allow you
to benefit from 20% to 35% discounts
on EOLE
and its bundles’ future public prices.

What is an aëdle Beta product?

By ordering a Beta EOLE module, you can benefit from a discount and be the first to own our new product, and enroll in our EOLE Beta program. We will ask you to share your feedback on EOLE through a dedicated form in the next months to help us do minor adjustments and guide our communication around it before its public launch.

Please let us know if you have any question or comment, by posting it on this article or by contacting us by email at baptiste@aedle.net or at lucas@aedle.net! I will publish next week a new article that will let you know more about EOLE.

I wish you a great day,

Lucas
